Day 1: begin there journey to unleashing the style within by setting up the the props for there practice run of taking commercial food photography...Students will decide..

What props they should use as the photographer?
Is the image they researched highly stylized, or minimalist?
What interesting details are present in the food that they are going to want to capture?
What textures are present in the props and background, how do they set-up each piece?

Based on your original idea and your research. Write a goal statement.  This is how you will know if you were successful. I am going to use Photography (media) to create a _________________  (type of work ). You can also make a blog post that shows inspirational images that you will be referencing for your own shoot.

To turn in your instagram feed.. 

Either have the feed on your site OR screenshot your home feed and
post it on your blog. 

Use the snipping tool to capture your blog's home feed.
Wednesday we will be critiquing your Instagram..
-Look for a similar color feed
-Look for a similar idea
-Look for a images that seems out of place. 

How can it be fixed? Or should it just be replaced?

MONDAY:


BRING YOUR CAMERA
-Bring in a piece of food to photograph
-It doesn't have to have anything fancy! 
Even a piece of fruit or a spice!
-I will gather backgrounds for us to use.


Tips for this weekends shoot

-Natural Light
-Take photos from all positions--- get on a chair!
-You don't have to use the plate!
-Check out Chefs Table documentary series on You Tube-- Watch the Aviary episode!
-You must have your photoshoot on Wednesday and Monday if you want full crediT
-Take at least 28 photos.. you must have at least 4 good ones to edit and create a blog post about.
